♣ New short Fused-Core columns for ultrafast analysis – 20mm long
Now we offer the HALO columns also with 20mm length. This will enable even shorter analysis time with high resolution due to the Fused-Core technology. The 20mm columns are available with ID 2.1, 3.0 and 4.6mm. They are available with HALO C18, C8, Phenyl-Hexyl, RP-Amide, and HILIC phases.
The HALO Fused-Core columns can be used in a standard HPLC system due to the low back pressure.
See attached pdf file for a complete list of available dimensions.
♣ New HALO Peptide ES-C18 for bio-separations
The new line of HALO columns has been specifically engineered to separate higher molecular weight compounds such as peptides and small proteins. These new columns contain advanced fused-core® particles that have bigger pores (160 Å versus 90 Å in standard HALO® particles), bonded with steric-protected C18 ligands to provide extra stability (ES) at low pH (< 1) and high temperatures (up to 100ºC) which greatly expands the application range for HALO columns.
This new C18 bonded phase will offer additional separation selectivity to complement the existing HALO C18, C8, Phenyl-Hexyl, RP-Amide, and HILIC phases. Two examples of the ability of the new columns to provide excellent peak shape for larger molecules are shown in the attached pdf file.

HALO – The name that defines a new direction in UHPLC
The KOT reactor is the Most Optimal Delay Element for use in Analytical Flow Systems
By the knitting technique we use, the chromatographic peak shape will be preserved. Application areas for the KOT are for example post-column derivatization and as a delay in a system with fraction collection. The KOT´s are made of inert PTFE and they are available as standard in lengths from 1-10 meters. Read more in the brochure below…

We are proud to announce that we can now offer an upgrade for your current 1100 degasser with the latest technology!
Buy our kit and do the upgrade by yourself within 20 minutes!

- HALO™ Phenyl-Hexyl is the latest addition in the unique HALO series of UHPLC columns. This new stationary phase gives alternate selectivity, especially for compounds containing aromatic groups.
- Excellent stability and minimum bleed for LC-MS applications.
- Base deactiveated for good peak shape when separating basic compounds.
- Moderate back pressure allows for UHPLC-like perfromance with conventional HPLC equipment.
- HALO™ RP-Amide, new stationary phase for different selectivity and improved retention of polar compounds
- HALO™ HILIC, new stationary phase for separation of very polar compounds
- New dimensions; HALO™ C18 now available with ID 1mm
- Capillary columns; HALO™ C18 and C8 now available with ID 75, 100, 200 and 300µm

Fused-Core™ particle technology for hyper-fast and super-rugged HPLC columns.
- 2.7 µm semi-porous particles manufactured with Fused-Core™ technology
- The same high efficiency as with sub 2 µm particles but with considerable lower backpressure
- Extremely fast separations – even with a traditional HPLC-system
- Very robust columns
- Can be used at extreme pressures
- 2 µm frits in the column can be used because of tight particle size distribution
- Developed by Dr. Jack Kirkland, one of the pioneers in chromatography
Biotech AB is responsible for the sales of the HALO™-columns in the Nordic market.
